We are Cameron Matthews and Tom Allen. We started mushroom farming because of a gift, and we continue mushroom farming because it is a continual gift to partner with fungi and share them with our community. We love what we do and we work hard at it!

In 2021 we were contacted by Ernesto Sanchez, who had been running a business called Geelong Fungi for about six years. He had decided it was time to move on and wanted to give his farm away to some folks who were doing good in the community. We were involved in a community called The Farm Next Door in Norlane, and Ernesto knew about our mission to provide quality fresh produce to the 3214 area and support greater community sufficiency there.

Fast forward to the present day and we have graduated from our garage in Norlane to a fully fledged farm in three shipping containers in Drysdale.

We’re committed to zero-waste production methods wherever possible. The mushroom industry’s heavy reliance on single-use plastic grow bags is something we want to change, and we believe it doesn’t have to hurt the bottom line too much.
